Kunkel Residence Walkways

We helped the Kunkel’s renovate their private walkway to give it a more natural rock look and replaced part of their public walk. This project was completed the week of October 10, 2011 in Shillington, PA. The base color of the concrete was light grey with dark grey and tan highlights. Once we had the concrete in place we added the highlight colors, rolled the edges over to achieve a more natural rock appearance, and applied the final texture called Roman Slate. We also replaced a section of the public walk and 40′ of curb.

Snyder Stamped Patio

We helped the Snyder’s give their patio a brand new look by installing a Yorkstone Stamped Patio complete with a sitting wall and fire pit. We started by removing their existing paver patio allowing us to enlarge the entire new patio area. Once the sitting wall and fire pit were installed we proceeded to put the entire patio area on stone grade and then poured and stamped the Yorkstone Patio. The base color for the concrete was Dune with three highlight colors of dark grey, brown, and tan. The sitting wall and fire pit color are Imperial Rustic Double Sided Wall Block by E. P Henry and the color is called Chestnut.

Henry Pool Deck

We helped the Henry’s give their pool deck and patio an upgrade along with a few new additions. This project was completed at the end of August 2011 in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.

The project started by removing all the existing paint that the homeowners had installed on the entire pool deck and lower patio. Once that was completed we removed sections of the existing pool deck that needed replacement. Next we formed and installed two different sets of steps that were not originally there. Once the new concrete had cured for 30 days we came back and started the overlaying processes. We overlayed the entire pool deck, lower patio, new steps, belco door area, and the landing exiting the rear of the home.

This project was challenging as we had to come up with a way to hang the gazebo in mid-air and stamp under and around it, since we couldn’t move it because it was ready to fall apart. Total duration not including the cure times was approximately 30 days. The base color for overlay is called Cemented Deal with two highlight colors of Black Walnut and Paprika.

Springfield Diner

We renovated the existing Benigain’s Restaurant in Springfield, PA. Although we only have a few of the photos available on the website, the work consisted of completing the footings, walls, floors, steps, dumpster pad, curbs, and sidewalks. The project was completed in December of 2010.

Carpenter Patio and Extension

This project was completed on June 14, 2011 in Douglassville, PA. The Carpenter family needed a location for their hot tub and wanted to extend their patio. We helped by creating concrete patio for the hot tub and pouring concrete to extend their existing patios.

Peterson Pool Patio

This project was completed on June 15, 2011 in Douglassville, PA. We helped the Peterson’s by pouring a concrete patio extension to their existing patio area.

Guy’s Garage Floor

This project was completed on June 9, 2011 in Douglassville, PA. We helped the Guy family by pouring a regular concrete floor for their garage.

Snover Laundromat Foundation

This project was completed in the Fall of 2010 in Reading, PA. We helped the laundromat by completing all its floors including pouring the basement and two crawl spaces under the dryer areas.

Cooke Residence

The Cooke’s wanted to add an addition to the back of their house. We helped them with several aspects of the project from laying out the addition to grading off the area when we were finished.

First, we worked with the Cooke’s to create an outline of the addition in the yard. Then we removed the topsoil and dug the footings that would eventually hold the foundation in place. Once those were in place, we laid the foundation walls and installed a radon pipe system.

With the basic foundation in place, we poured a concrete slab on grade. Slab on grade foundations are concrete slabs poured directly on the ground with no space between the ground and the concrete. This is often used in areas where the ground is not subject to freezing and therefore not likely to heave. Once we had everything just perfect for the Cooke’s, we graded off the area around the addition using excess dirt.

We will be returning in the spring to install a patio around this addition.

Coldren Block Retaining Wall

We started by installing the new block retaining wall flower bed / sitting walls. This product was Imperial Block in the color earth. Once completed, we installed a new Arizona Flagstone Stamped Concrete Patio. This patio had three piers in the middle to provide support for the new roof that will be installed in the spring. The colors of the patio are the base color is Dune and had highlights of terracotta, rosemary, stone gray, walnut and a final highlight color of dark brown.
